SHOCK PLAN Ukrainian refugee crisis
Economic inclusion of Ukrainian refugees into the Spanish economy
We are all shocked by the war in Ukraine and we would like to help and at BPW Madrid we have repared a project to help Ukrainian refugees in their countries in a sustainable way (with skill building, language lessons, entrepreneurship support).
Challenges to which BPW Madrid can give an immediate response At BPW -Madrid, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Madrid, we work to promote sisterhood, solidarity and the professional empowerment of Entrepreneurs and Professionals, training professional potential and leadership, supporting women to reach positions of decisions, and leading a lobby that promotes equal opportunities. We have also the unique entrepreneurship and economic empowerment platform for women in Spain.
Program support and opportunity for the Ukrainian refugees in Spain The first priority of BPW Madrid
should be to get Ukrainian refugees into work quickly. They need the right to work, appropriate skills and job opportunities.
In Madrid there are currently 23,352 people of Ukrainian nationality, – 13,650 women and 9,702 men – with a presence in at least 51 municipalities in the province.
